EBP Assistance in German The German Association of Occupational Therapists (Deutscher Verband der Ergotherapeuten e.V.) has developed a data bank of detailed abstracts with critical appraisals of RCTs, systematic reviews, meta analyses and HTA efficacy studies of intervention in German. This is aimed at enabling occupational therapists to find suitable evidence to support their clinical decision-making. The data bank includes studies from many countries in the medical, social and pedagogical fields as well as occupational therapy and occupational science. The data bank will be launched during the summer of 2010 and is available free to all members of the association. Occupational Therapists from other countries who would be interested in using the data bank are welcome to become members at the special rate for members from abroad of €75,00 per year. This membership will also give them access to the growing list of descriptions in German of assessment instruments which now stands at over 80 as well as other benefits such as the monthly journal and weekly online newsletter.
