Summary of the Profession 2010
The Summary of the occupational therapy profession in Europe is compiled and updated annually based on information supplied by the delegates of the national associations.
The aim is to integrate the profile of occupational therapy in the
member countries and to facilitate the mobility of occupational therapists around Europe.
COTEC was founded in 1986 by twelve OT associations of the then Member States of the European Communities.Today there are 27 member associations representing over 120,000 occupational therapists in Europe. The newest member, Georgian association of occupational therapists, is a member of COTEC since April
2009 and information regarding occupational therapy in Georgia is now included in the Summary for the first time.
