COTEC elected new President
At the recent COTEC meeting in Zagreb,Croatia, Council elected President for COTEC.
The President is Anu Söderström, who has been the Delegate for the Finnish Association of Occupational Therapists since 2000. Before her election as the President Anu served as COTEC Honorary Secretary since October 2008 so she is familiar with COTEC Executive work. During 2004-2008 she held the post of Programme Area Coordinator for the Organisational Issues Programme Area. Term of office for President is four years, 2010-2014. On election to President, Anu ceased to represent her National Association inthe Council and Finnish Association of Occupational Therapists have appointed a new COTEC Delegate.
The Council also elected a new Honorary Secretary to cover the outstanding term of Anu Söderström.
Silvio Tocco, Delegate for the Italian Association of Occupational Therapists now holds the office of Honorary Secretary until spring 2012. Silvio has represented his association inCOTEC since 2004 and has recently worked as the Programme Coordinator for the European Union - OT Issues Programme Area.
The new Executive team will have their first Executive Interim meeting in Portugal June 30th-July 1st,2010.
